Stan Love, born on April 9, 1949, is a former professional basketball player from the United States. He played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) primarily as a forward, making a significant impact during the early 1970s. Love attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he contributed to the Bruins' success, including their impressive run in collegiate basketball.

Love was selected in the first round of the 1971 NBA Draft by the Detroit Pistons, where he initiated his professional career. Over the course of his career, he played for several teams, including the Pistons, the Los Angeles Lakers, and the Portland Trail Blazers. In the 1971-72 season, Love averaged 7.9 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 0.7 assists per game, showcasing his versatility on the court.
