Biography

Stefan Johansson, born on September 8, 1956, in Kumla, Sweden, is a former professional racing driver who competed in Formula 1 during the 1980s. He began his career in karting before advancing through the ranks of junior formulae, ultimately making his F1 debut in 1980 with the Shadow Team. Over the course of his career, he drove for several prominent teams, including Spirit, Tyrrell, and Ferrari.

In the 1983 season, Johansson raced for Spirit but finished without scoring any points. The subsequent year, he moved to Tyrrell, where he secured 3 championship points, finishing 17th overall in the driver's standings. His performance peaked in 1985, during which he earned 26 points and achieved a seventh-place finish in the championship, demonstrating consistent skill and adaptability with the Tyrrell team and Ferrari power unit.
