Stephanie Stumbo is a former professional basketball player known for her exceptional skills on the court and her significant contributions to women’s basketball. Born in 1995 in Indianapolis, Indiana, she emerged as a standout talent at Westfield High School, where she earned multiple All-State honors and led her team to a state championship in her senior year. She continued her career at the collegiate level, playing for the University of Maryland, where she garnered attention for her scoring ability and defensive prowess.

During her time at the University of Maryland, Stumbo was a critical player, helping her team secure several NCAA tournament appearances and reaching the Elite Eight. In her junior year, she was named to the All-Conference First Team and was recognized as a National Player of the Week, solidifying her reputation as one of the top players in college basketball. After graduating in 2017, she declared for the WNBA Draft and was selected in the second round by the Seattle Storm.
