Steve Heinze, born on January 30, 1970, is a retired American ice hockey player known for his impactful career in the National Hockey League (NHL) and collegiate hockey. Heinze played college hockey at Boston College, where he achieved significant success, including a trip to the NCAA championship game in 1990. His collegiate performance helped him secure a place in the professional ranks, leading to his selection in the 1987 NHL Entry Draft by the New Jersey Devils.
During his NHL career, which spanned from 1992 to 2006, Heinze played for several teams, including the New Jersey Devils, Boston Bruins, and the Columbus Blue Jackets.
