Steve Horton is a former professional basketball player known for his impressive career as a shooting guard. Born on March 24, 1966, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Horton attended the University of Toledo, where he played college basketball from 1984 to 1988. He left a mark as a prolific scorer, finishing his college career with over 1,600 points, and earned All-MAC honors during his tenure.
Horton was selected by the Portland Trail Blazers in the second round of the 1988 NBA Draft. He went on to play for various teams in the NBA, as well as in the Continental Basketball Association (CBA) and overseas, with notable stints in the Japanese and Italian leagues.
