Steve Konowalchuk, born on November 11, 1972, in Spokane, Washington, is a retired professional ice hockey player who played prominently in the National Hockey League (NHL). A left winger, Konowalchuk was drafted 86th overall by the New Jersey Devils in the 1994 NHL Entry Draft after a standout junior career with the Tri-City Americans in the Western Hockey League (WHL). He made his NHL debut in the 1995-96 season and went on to play for several teams, including the New Jersey Devils, Anaheim Ducks, and the New York Islanders.
Throughout his NHL career, which spanned from 1995 to 2005, Konowalchuk was known for his tenacity, work ethic, and leadership on the ice.
