Steve Makata is a professional basketball athlete known for his exceptional skills as a shooting guard. Born on May 15, 1990, in Los Angeles, California, Makata gained prominence during his high school career at Lincoln High School, where he led his team to a state championship and was named the California Player of the Year. He went on to play collegiate basketball at the University of Arizona, where he earned All-American honors and helped the Wildcats reach the NCAA Tournament finals in his junior year.
Makata was selected as the 12th overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft by the Philadelphia 76ers. Throughout his professional career, he played for several teams, including the 76ers, the Golden State Warriors, and the Miami Heat, earning three All-Star selections and a Rookie of the Year award in 2013.
