Steve McMichael, born on October 17, 1957, in Houston, Texas, is a former American football player and a notable figure in the National Football League (NFL). He played as a defensive tackle, mainly for the Chicago Bears, and was a key member of the team during its dominant late 1980s period. McMichael's professional career began when he was selected by the New England Patriots in the third round of the 1980 NFL Draft.
