Steve Montador was a Canadian professional ice hockey player born on December 21, 1979, in Richmond Hill, Ontario. He played as a defenseman and was known for his physical style of play and strong skating ability. Montador was drafted in the fourth round, 108th overall, by the Calgary Flames in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft.
During his NHL career, which lasted from 2003 to 2015, Montador played for several teams, including the Calgary Flames, Florida Panthers, Buffalo Sabres, Anaheim Ducks, and the Chicago Blackhawks. He achieved significant milestones, including being part of the Blackhawks' roster during their 2013 Stanley Cup Championship-winning season.
