Steve Satir is a retired professional basketball player known for his exceptional playmaking ability and leadership on the court. Born on June 15, 1988, in Chicago, Illinois, he rose through the ranks of high school basketball, eventually earning a scholarship to play at the University of North Carolina. During his collegiate career, Satir was a standout guard, leading the Tar Heels to a NCAA championship in 2008 and receiving All-American honors.
Following his college success, Satir was selected 12th overall in the 2010 NBA Draft by the Indiana Pacers. Over his ten-year NBA career, he played for multiple teams, including the Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat, where he achieved notable highlights such as being named an NBA All-Star in 2016 and winning two NBA championships in 2018 and 2020. He was revered for his clutch performances in playoff games and consistently ranked among the league leaders in assists.
