Steve Wilson, born on August 24, 1957, is a former American football player who played in the National Football League (NFL) primarily as a cornerback. Wilson attended the University of Southern California, where he excelled in football, earning All-American honors in his collegiate career. He was selected in the 4th round of the 1979 NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers, where he began his professional career.
During his time in the NFL, Wilson became known for his significant contributions to the Chargers’ secondary. He played for the team from 1979 to 1982, during which he recorded numerous interceptions and tackles, establishing himself as a key defensive player.
