He was selected 20th overall in the 1990 NHL Entry Draft by the Quebec Nordiques, marking the beginning of a notable career in the National Hockey League (NHL). Fiset played for several teams, including the Quebec Nordiques, Los Angeles Kings, and Colorado Avalanche.
Throughout his career, Fiset was recognized for his strong positional play and quick reflexes, totaling 215 games played in the NHL between 1991 and 2002. He achieved his most significant success with the Colorado Avalanche, winning the Stanley Cup in 2001 as a backup goaltender.
