Biography
Stéphane Robidas, born on March 3, 1977, in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada, is a former professional ice hockey player known for his dynamic play as a defenseman. He began his career in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) with the Shawinigan Cataractes before being drafted 164th overall by the Montreal Canadiens in the 6th round of the 1995 NHL Entry Draft. Robidas made his NHL debut during the 1999-2000 season with the Canadiens.
Over his 14-year NHL career, Robidas played for several teams, most notably the Dallas Stars, where he became a key player and fan favorite. He was recognized for his leadership on the ice and his ability to contribute both defensively and offensively, helping the Stars reach the 2008 Stanley Cup Final.
