Sun Yue (born November 6, 1985) is a retired Chinese professional basketball player known for his versatility on the court. Standing at 6 feet 9 inches (2.06 m), he played primarily as a guard and was noted for his exceptional ball-handling skills and defensive capabilities. Sun gained prominence during his tenure with the Beijing Ducks in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) and was instrumental in the team’s success during the late 2000s and early 2010s.
In 2008, Sun Yue was selected by the Los Angeles Lakers in the second round of the NBA Draft, making him one of the few Chinese players to reach the NBA during that era. Although his playing time in the league was limited, participating in the 2008-09 season, Sun's experience with the Lakers contributed to his development as a player. He eventually returned to the CBA, where he continued to excel, winning multiple championships and earning accolades for his contributions to his team.
