Biography

Suranga Lokubalasuriya is a former Sri Lankan cricketer born on January 15, 1985, in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Primarily a right-arm fast-medium bowler, he made his international debut for the Sri Lankan national team in a One Day International (ODI) against India in 2005. He quickly gained recognition for his ability to deliver accurate and penetrating spells, which earned him a place in the Test squad shortly thereafter.

Throughout his career, Lokubalasuriya demonstrated his prowess in both ODI and Test formats. He was instrumental in several key victories, including a standout performance during the 2007 Cricket World Cup, where he played a crucial role in advancing Sri Lanka to the semifinals with his wicket-taking capabilities.
