Sydney Hua is a professional basketball athlete known for her exceptional skills as a guard. Born on March 15, 1998, in Seattle, Washington, she began her basketball career at an early age, quickly rising through the ranks in youth leagues. Hua gained national attention during her high school career at Lincoln High School, where she earned multiple All-State selections and became the school's all-time leading scorer.

After graduating high school, Hua played collegiate basketball at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). During her tenure, she led the Bruins to several NCAA tournament appearances and was named to the All-Pac-12 first team.
