Sylvain Deschâtelets, born on November 22, 1979, in Trois-Rivières, Quebec, Canada, is a former professional ice hockey player known for his contributions to the sport during the late 1990s and early 2000s. A talented defenseman, Deschâtelets was selected in the third round, 73rd overall, by the New Jersey Devils in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft. His playing career included significant stints in both the National Hockey League (NHL) and various minor leagues.
Deschâtelets made his NHL debut with the New Jersey Devils in the 2000-2001 season and later played for the Atlanta Thrashers, totaling 39 NHL games over his career.
