Taylor Chorney is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenseman born on April 27, 1987, in Thompson, Manitoba. He was drafted 36th overall by the Edmonton Oilers in the second round of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft after a successful junior career with the University of North Dakota, where he earned All-American honors and contributed to the team reaching the NCAA Tournament.
Chorney made his NHL debut with the Edmonton Oilers during the 2008-09 season and went on to play in multiple NHL games, primarily for the Oilers and the Pittsburgh Penguins.
