Taylor Ellington, born on October 31, 1988, in Vancouver, Canada, is a former professional ice hockey defenseman known for his solid two-way play and strong physical presence on the ice. He began his junior career in the Western Hockey League (WHL) with the Vancouver Giants, where he helped lead the team to a Memorial Cup championship in 2007. After showcasing his abilities, Ellington was selected in the third round, 93rd overall, by the Anaheim Ducks in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
