Taylor Mehlhaff, born on August 25, 1985, in La Crosse, Wisconsin, is a former professional American football placekicker. He played college football at the University of Wisconsin, where he gained recognition for his exceptional kicking ability and accurate field goal performance. Mehlhaff earned consensus All-American honors in 2006, establishing himself as one of the top kickers in collegiate football.
Mehlhaff was selected by the New Orleans Saints in the sixth round of the 2008 NFL Draft, marking the beginning of his professional career. He played for the Saints during the 2008 season, notably contributing to the team’s successful campaign that culminated in a Super Bowl victory at the end of the following season.
