Biography
Teodors Bļugers, born on August 15, 1994, in Riga, Latvia, is a professional ice hockey player known for his versatility and playmaking skills. He developed his career in the Latvian hockey system before moving to North America, where he joined the United States Hockey League (USHL), playing for the Indiana Ice. Bļugers further enhanced his skills at the collegiate level while attending the University of Massachusetts Amherst, competing in NCAA hockey.
Drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the second round (mid-50s overall) of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft, Bļugers transitioned to the professional ranks in the American Hockey League (AHL) with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. He made his NHL debut with the Pittsburgh Penguins during the 2017-2018 season and has since established himself as a reliable two-way forward known for his defensive acumen and contribution to team play.
