Terry Virtue, born on August 12, 1970, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player known for his defensive prowess and leadership on the ice. He was drafted in the 6th round, 122nd overall, by the New Jersey Devils in the 1990 NHL Entry Draft. During his career, Virtue played primarily as a defenseman, competing in the National Hockey League (NHL) with teams such as the New Jersey Devils, Boston Bruins, and the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Throughout his professional career, Virtue played a total of 73 NHL games, accumulating five points and 102 penalty minutes. He spent the majority of his playing years in the American Hockey League (AHL), where he was notably recognized for his strong defensive play and physical style.
