Thilan Samaraweera, born on September 22, 1976, in Matara, Sri Lanka, is a former professional cricketer recognized for his contributions to the Sri Lankan national team as a middle-order batsman. Making his international debut in 2000, Samaraweera would go on to play in 81 Test matches and 126 One Day Internationals (ODIs) over a distinguished career that spanned more than a decade. He was known for his solid technique and ability to stabilize innings, particularly in challenging situations.
