Biography
Tibor Mekyna, born on April 26, 1942, in the Czech Republic, is a former professional ice hockey player renowned for his contributions to the sport during the 1960s and 1970s. He played primarily as a forward and was known for his exceptional skating ability and scoring prowess. Mekyna represented Czechoslovakia at various international tournaments, earning recognition for his skill and competitive spirit on the ice.
Throughout his career, Mekyna was a key member of the Czechoslovak national team, participating in multiple IIHF World Championships and the Winter Olympics. His most notable achievement came in 1968 when he played a vital role in securing a silver medal for his country at the Grenoble Winter Olympics.
