Biography
Tim Cheveldae, born on February 15, 1968, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender best known for his tenure in the National Hockey League (NHL) during the 1990s. After a successful junior career with the Winnipeg Warriors in the Western Hockey League (WHL), Cheveldae was selected in the third round of the 1986 NHL Entry Draft by the Detroit Red Wings. He made his NHL debut in the 1989-90 season and quickly established himself as a reliable goaltender.
Throughout his career, Cheveldae played for several teams, most notably the Detroit Red Wings and the Winnipeg Jets. He is recognized for his impressive performances during the 1991-92 season, when he recorded career-high stats, including a 2.80 goals against average and three shutouts.
