Tim Green, born on December 16, 1963, in Syracuse, New York, is a former professional American football player who played as a defensive end in the National Football League (NFL). Green attended the University of Syracuse, where he excelled both on the field and in academics, ultimately earning a degree in economics. He was selected in the first round of the 1986 NFL Draft by the Atlanta Falcons, where he would spend his entire seven-year professional career.
During his time with the Falcons from 1986 to 1992, Green became known for his formidable defensive skills and athleticism. He recorded 47.5 sacks and was recognized for his contributions to the team's defense, leading to his selection for the NFL Pro Bowl in 1990.
