Biography
Tim Grunhard is a former professional American football player born on May 17, 1968, in Elmhurst, Illinois. A skilled center, he played college football at the University of Notre Dame, where he was part of the Fighting Irish team that won the national championship in 1988. Grunhard was selected in the third round of the 1990 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs.
During his 11-year tenure with the Chiefs, Grunhard became known for his durability and leadership on the offensive line, appearing in 153 games and starting in 143 of them. He was recognized for his outstanding performance by being named to the Pro Bowl in 1997, solidifying his reputation as one of the league's premier centers. Grunhard was a key contributor to the Chiefs' offense, helping to pave the way for numerous successful seasons in the 1990s.
After retiring from professional football in 2001, Grunhard transitioned into coaching, sharing his expertise with younger players.
