Tod Masters is a former professional basketball player known for his exceptional skills as a shooting guard. Born on March 12, 1990, in Chicago, Illinois, Masters rose to prominence during his college career at the University of Illinois, where he led the team to two consecutive NCAA tournament appearances and was named to the All-Big Ten First Team. Following his collegiate success, he was selected as the 18th overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft.
During his six-year tenure in the National Basketball Association (NBA), Masters played for three teams, including the Chicago Bulls, Miami Heat, and Los Angeles Lakers. He was recognized for his three-point shooting ability and defensive prowess, culminating in an NBA All-Star selection in 2015. Masters also contributed significantly to his teams' playoff runs, achieving the first of his two NBA Finals appearances in 2016 with the Miami Heat.
After retiring from professional play in 2018, Masters shifted his focus to coaching and youth development in basketball. He established the Masters Academy, a training program designed to mentor aspiring athletes.
