Todd Richards, born on October 20, 1966, is a former professional ice hockey player from the United States who played as a defenseman. He was selected in the third round, 30th overall, by the New Jersey Devils in the 1985 NHL Entry Draft. Over the course of his playing career, he represented teams including the New Jersey Devils, the Chicago Blackhawks, and the Tampa Bay Lightning in the National Hockey League (NHL).
Richards' professional playing career spanned from 1986 to 1999, during which he showcased his skills in various leagues, including the American Hockey League (AHL) and the International Hockey League (IHL). Notably, he won the Calder Cup with the AHL's Albany River Rats in 1995, contributing significantly to the team's success.
