Tom Dempsey, born on January 12, 1947, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is a former American football placekicker known for his remarkable career in the National Football League (NFL). Despite being born without toes on his right foot and having a partially formed right hand, Dempsey overcame these challenges to become one of the most celebrated kickers in NFL history. He played college football at the University of Oregon before entering the professional ranks.
Dempsey made his NFL debut with the New Orleans Saints in 1969, quickly establishing himself as a standout player.
