Biography
Tomáš Hyka, born on March 23, 1993, in Prague, Czech Republic, is a professional ice hockey forward known for his speed and offensive skills. He began his junior career with HC Slavia Prague and gained attention for his performance in Czech youth leagues. Hyka’s talent soon propelled him to the United States, where he played in the USHL for the Sioux City Musketeers before advancing to collegiate hockey at the University of Massachusetts-Lowell.
Hyka was drafted in the sixth round, 171st overall, by the Los Angeles Kings in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. He made his professional debut in the American Hockey League (AHL) with the Manchester Monarchs and later played for the Ontario Reign. His notable achievements include being part of the Czech Republic national team, contributing to their success in various international tournaments, including the IIHF World Championships.
After several seasons in North America, including a stint in the ECHL, Hyka returned to Europe, where he played for various clubs in top leagues, notably the Czech Extraliga and the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL).
