Biography
Tomáš Kopecký, born on February 5, 1982, in Trenčín, Slovakia, is a former professional ice hockey player known for his contributions as a forward. He was drafted 38th overall by the Detroit Red Wings in the 2nd round of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. Kopecký began his NHL career with the Red Wings in 2005 and played a key role in the team's 2008 Stanley Cup victory.
Throughout his career, Kopecký also played for the Chicago Blackhawks, with whom he won his second Stanley Cup in 2010, and the Florida Panthers. In addition to his success in the NHL, he represented Slovakia internationally, participating in multiple IIHF World Championships and the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver.
