Tom Rathman, born on October 7, 1962, is a former professional American football player who played as a fullback in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where he was a key contributor to the Cornhuskers' 1983 championship team. Rathman was selected in the 3rd round of the 1986 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers and quickly established himself as an integral part of the team's offense.
