Tom Scully, born on May 15, 1991, is a former Australian rules footballer who played in the Australian Football League (AFL) for the Melbourne Football Club and the Greater Western Sydney Giants. Drafted first overall in the 2008 AFL Draft, Scully's early career with Melbourne showcased his exceptional skills as a midfielder, earning him the AFL Rising Star nomination in 2010. He quickly became known for his elite running ability and was highly regarded for his work ethic on and off the field.
In 2012, Scully made the pivotal decision to join the Greater Western Sydney Giants on a lucrative contract, marking a significant moment in AFL history as one of the first major recruits to the newly formed club. His tenure at the Giants saw him play a crucial role in the team's rise, leading to a Grand Final appearance in 2019.
