Tommy Tuberville, born on September 18, 1954, is a former professional American football coach and current politician serving as a United States Senator from Alabama. He gained fame as the head coach of several college football teams, most notably Auburn University, where he led the Tigers to a 13-0 season and an SEC Championship in 2004. Tuberville's coaching career spanned over two decades, culminating in a record of 159 wins and 99 losses, with notable bowl game appearances.
Before his coaching career, Tuberville was a standout defensive back at Southern Arkansas University, where he earned All-Conference honors.
