Tony Amonte, born on August 2, 1970, in Evanston, Illinois, is a former professional ice hockey player who had a successful career in the National Hockey League (NHL). Amonte played as a right winger, known for his speed, scoring ability, and strong two-way game. He was drafted 68th overall by the New York Rangers in the 1991 NHL Entry Draft after a notable college career at Boston University.
