Tony Chickillo, born on July 8, 1960, in Tampa, Florida, is a former professional American football player who played as a defensive end and linebacker in the National Football League (NFL). He attended the University of Miami, where he earned recognition for his defensive skills and athleticism, contributing significantly to the team's performance in college football.
Chickillo was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 10th round of the 1983 NFL Draft. He played six seasons with the Steelers, participating in key defensive plays and contributing to the team's success during the mid-1980s. His tenure with the Steelers included a Super Bowl appearance in Super Bowl XX, where the team finished as runners-up.
After his time with the Steelers, Chickillo also played for the Seattle Seahawks and the Philadelphia Eagles, before retiring in 1989.
