Biography
Tony Hand, born on August 15, 1967, in Manchester, United Kingdom, is a former professional ice hockey player and coach, widely regarded as one of the greatest British ice hockey players of all time. Known for his exceptional skill and playmaking ability, Hand began his career in the British Ice Hockey League (BIHL) with the Murrayfield Racers in the mid-1980s before moving on to various teams throughout the UK, including the Birmingham Bulls and the Manchester Storm.
Over his career, Hand achieved significant milestones, including being the first British player to be drafted by an NHL team when he was selected by the Edmonton Oilers in the 1986 NHL Entry Draft.
