Turk Broda, born on May 15, 1914, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, was a prominent Canadian ice hockey goaltender, recognized for his remarkable contributions to the National Hockey League (NHL) during the mid-20th century. He began his NHL career with the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1936, where he played until 1951, establishing himself as one of the preeminent goaltenders of his era.
