Ty Rimmer is a Canadian ice hockey goaltender, born on March 23, 1992, in Edmonton, Alberta. He played junior hockey in the Western Hockey League (WHL) primarily with the Tri-City Americans and the Lethbridge Hurricanes, where he showcased his skills as a reliable and athletic netminder. Rimmer was drafted in the sixth round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft by the Detroit Red Wings but chose to pursue the collegiate route with the University of Alberta.
After his time in junior hockey, Rimmer turned professional in 2013, signing with the Bakersfield Condors in the ECHL.
