Tyson Strachan, born on October 30, 1984, in Fort Frances, Ontario, Canada, is a former professional ice hockey defenseman. Strachan was drafted 146th overall by the St. Louis Blues in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft following a collegiate career at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he was recognized for his defensive skills and leadership on the ice. He made his professional debut in the American Hockey League (AHL) and quickly established himself as a reliable defenseman.
