Biography

Ujitha Eranga is a former Sri Lankan cricketer, born on March 20, 1987, in the town of Akkaraipattu, Sri Lanka. He is primarily known as a right-arm fast-medium bowler and has represented Sri Lanka in various international formats. Eranga made his One Day International (ODI) debut against Bangladesh on July 31, 2014, and quickly became known for his ability to generate pace and bounce.

Throughout his career, Eranga played in 24 ODIs and garnered attention for his performances, particularly in the 2016 ICC World Twenty20, where he contributed significantly to the Sri Lankan bowling attack. His best ODI figures were 4 wickets for 32 runs, showcasing his capability to perform under pressure. In addition to ODIs, he also represented Sri Lanka in T20 internationals and had a successful domestic career, predominantly playing for the Colombo District teams.
