Vai Sikahema, born on August 29, 1962, in Tonga, is a former professional American football player who played as a return specialist and running back in the National Football League (NFL). He was raised in the United States, where he attended BYU before being drafted in the 6th round of the 1987 NFL Draft by the St. Louis Cardinals. Sikahema quickly made an impact in the league, becoming the first Tongan player in the NFL.
Throughout his career, Sikahema had notable stints with the St. Louis Cardinals, Green Bay Packers, and Philadelphia Eagles. He is particularly remembered for his electrifying kick and punt return abilities, earning two Pro Bowl selections during his tenure. His most impactful season came in 1992 when he led the league in combined net yards and was recognized for his contributions to the Eagles, helping to solidify their special teams.
