Val Schuster is a former professional basketball player renowned for her exceptional skills on the court. Born on April 12, 1985, in Springfield, Illinois, she gained prominence during her college career at the University of Tennessee, where she was a standout performer, leading the Lady Volunteers to a national championship in 2007. Her versatility as a player allowed her to excel both in scoring and defensive capabilities, earning her numerous accolades, including All-American honors.
After completing her collegiate career, Schuster was selected 8th overall in the 2007 WNBA Draft by the Seattle Storm. Throughout her six-season career in the WNBA, she played a pivotal role in her team’s success, contributing to their playoff appearances and establishing herself as a fan favorite.
