Valeri Bure, born on June 13, 1974, in Moscow, Russia, is a former professional ice hockey player who emigrated to the United States and became a prominent forward in the National Hockey League (NHL). Bure was selected in the 1992 NHL Entry Draft by the Montreal Canadiens as the 33rd overall pick.
