Vann McElroy, born on January 13, 1960, in Killeen, Texas, is a former professional American football player known for his impactful career as a safety in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at the University of Texas, where he earned recognition for his athleticism and football intelligence, laying the groundwork for his subsequent professional career. McElroy was selected by the Los Angeles Raiders in the 4th round of the 1983 NFL Draft.
