Víctor Galíndez, born on November 2, 1948, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, was a prominent professional boxer who competed in the light heavyweight division. Known for his powerful punches and resilient style, Galíndez began his boxing career in the late 1960s and rapidly gained recognition in the sport. He turned professional in 1966 and quickly established himself as a formidable contender.
Galíndez achieved significant success in his career, becoming the WBA light heavyweight champion in 1974 after defeating the then-champion Bob Foster.
