Veini Vehviläinen, born on February 13, 1997, in Jyvaskyla, Finland, is a professional ice hockey goaltender known for his agility and competitive spirit. He began his youth career with JYP Jyväskylä and quickly progressed through the ranks, showcasing his talent in Finland's junior leagues. Vehviläinen gained significant attention during the 2015–2016 season, where he led his team to a successful run in the junior championships.
Vehviläinen made his debut in the Finnish Liiga with JYP during the 2016–2017 season, earning accolades for his performances and establishing himself as a reliable goaltender in the league. He further solidified his reputation during the 2018–2019 season, where he was instrumental in leading JYP to a Liiga championship, earning the Jari Kurri Award as the playoffs' most valuable player.
