Verl Heap (born September 6, 1924) was a prominent American basketball player known for his contributions to the sport during the 1940s and 1950s. After serving in the United States Navy during World War II, he played college basketball at the University of Kansas, where he showcased exceptional skills that led to his selection in the professional ranks.
Heap played in the Basketball Association of America (BAA) and later the National Basketball Association (NBA), primarily as a guard.
