Ville Nieminen, born on April 6, 1977, in Kotka, Finland, is a retired professional ice hockey player known for his versatile play as a forward. After beginning his career in the Finnish league, he quickly gained recognition for his tenacity and skill, which led to his selection in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft by the New York Rangers in the fourth round, 121st overall.
